2018 Summer Drama Camps:

Each Camp Group will perform an original play with music in only 5 days! (yes it can be done!)

Elm Street Cultural Arts Village has one of the oldest and largest arts education programs for young people in the region. Camps are taught by trained counselors who introduce ages 5-14 to the exciting world of the theatre. Campers explore the craft of acting and learn the discipline of performing, as they develop their own unique creative voices. Elm Street’s camps are to provide young people with performance and creative thinking skills that will serve them in whatever profession they one day choose. Campers develop poise, movement, speaking, and acting skills as they explore improvisation, theatre games, character development and the many other skills.

Junior & Senior Camps will run Monday through Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm (
new time!). There are THREE groups total each week (one Junior Camp & TWO Senior Camps).

Campers should pack a lunch, a drink, AND an extra snack for the afternoon. There will be time for supervised outdoor activities during the week (weather permitting).

All Senior Camp scripts are originally created, written, and produced by the campers during their camp week. Along with their experienced instructors, campers will create characters, plot lines, song lyrics, costume designs, art projects and much more. Each script is tailored for that group of campers resulting in an individualized approach to a team activity.

All campers will receive a t-shirt, script and private access to a downloadable digital copy of their final performance that Friday.

Costuming is provided by Elm Street.
Campers will see a Main Stage performance of an Elm Street Show on Wednesday morning.

You can sign up for more than one camp week as each camp show is unique!

We do NOT have a ‘star system’ so all campers will have equal amounts of stage time and speaking lines.

Family and friends are welcome to see the final performances on Friday afternoon at no additional charge. (Junior Camp shows are at 3:00pm–Senior Camp shows are at 4:00pm & 5:00pm.)

(Drama Camp fee is $249.00. Changing your camp week at any time after registering will generate a $25.00 admin fee.   There is a $75.00 non-refundable portion of camp fees if cancelled any time after registering but prior to a camp starting–there is a 24-hour “grace period” to cancel with full refund.  There will be no refund of any portion of the camp fee once a camp has begun.)

Early Drop-Off (beginning at 8:15am) is available for an additional fee.
