Presenting Partner:

In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity’s most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides he’s had enough, and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom!

A brilliant satire modeled off the plays of Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht, Urinetown is a wickedly funny, fast-paced, and surprisingly intelligent comedic romp. This show is truly a musical comedy to relieve yourself.

If you are not a fan of musicals, you could not pick a better production to win you over. The stellar cast, crew, and musicians had the opening-night audience cheering wildly on virtually every number and rising at the end of the show with a prolonged standing ovation. Tremendous fun awaits you.

Truly an amazing performance by all. The direction, lighting, music, casting, acting, dancing, and COSTUMES were sublime! There was such a high level of quality behind this production. I had never been to the Elm Street Cultural Arts Village before, and I will be returning!
