The Historic Reeves Home

The Historic Reeves Home To Be Restored As the Elm Street Visual Arts Center

The historic Reeves Home at 113 Elm Street will take on  a new life as the Elm Street Visual Arts Center. This surprisingly spacious (2500 square feet) century old home will accommodate galleries and instruction space on the main floor, with a loft upstairs for artist studios. A coffee and sandwich shop will spill onto the generous front porch, inviting visitors to linger, and a meticulous restoration of the house is planned to delight the history buff with pleasure.

Pottery and Metalworks Facilities for the Larger Grounds

Also in the works are historically authentic outbuildings and sheds to house pottery and metalworking, safely removed from the historic home. These buildings will re-create the original sheds and barns of the Reeves homestead. With a small conference and meeting place planned, community art groups of all kinds will be able to use this facility for meetings and programs year round.
